Strategic Ridge Accounting is the trading name of Strategic Ridge Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11269496) with its registered office at Unit House, Evans Road, Speke Boulevard, Speke, Liverpool L24 9HZ. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office, registration number ZB890318. What we collect and why
Enquiries and quotes. When you use our contact or quote forms we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name and anything you write in your message. We use this to respond to you and to prepare your quote. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
Client work. If you become a client we collect the information needed to provide accounting and tax services: identification documents, financial records, payroll details and HMRC or Companies House credentials where you authorise us as your agent. The lawful bases are the performance of our contract with you and our legal obligations, including anti-money laundering checks.
Website analytics. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time. See our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
We share information with HMRC and Companies House when acting as your authorised agent, with the software we use to deliver our services (such as QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping), and with our website hosting and email providers. We never sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details that do not lead to an engagement are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Client records are kept for six years after the end of the engagement, which is the retention period required for accounting and tax records in the UK, and for anti-money laundering purposes.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, object to or restrict our processing, and ask for your data in a portable format. Email info@strategicridge.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
International visitors
We serve clients in and outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses used by our providers.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with an updated date at the top.
